Altar of Zeus

Among them, one of the most famous creations is the Pergamon Altar: a huge building in Bergama, Turkey, dating to the second century BC, with a very long frieze depicting the Gigantomachy. It was originally dedicated to Zeus and Athena. Back in its time, Altar was more than a religious symbol and was holding the power of being a political symbols to the kings as well.

As an additional information, this symbol has been linked to a passage in the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible, where Pergamum is described as the city "where Satan's throne is".
