Arsemia Ruins
At the southeastern part of Turkey, close to the modern town of Nemrut, lies the city of Arsemia. It became one of the most important cultural and political centers of the first century BC due to its integral history and Hellenistic features constructed by the Commagene Kingdom. There exist imposing big tombs, reliefs, and sculptures showing the ingenuity of that time.
Today, Arsemia represents one of the major archaeological sites that provide information concerning the blending of the local cultures.
