Aspendos Ancient City

At the very heart of one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world, Aspendos Ancient City lies in Antalya, Turkey. At this wonderful place, one can find remains of very well-preserved nymphaeum and aqueduct basilica which emphasizes the importance of the city during the Early Imperial Period. The building, its parts, especially sound and performance construction bear witness to the abilities of the Roman engineers.

Apart from the theater, Aspendos was a major settlement in the ancient world, owing to its trade and wealth, as it was squeezed between the Koprucay River to the north. Also, part of the complexes are the ruins of a basilica , aqueducts and agora that allowed the city to flourish.
