Didyma Ancient City

Didyma Ancient City is located in southwest Turkey, Aydin. According to the ancient scripts, the word Didyma is getting linked with the word 'twins' which might be devoted to Apollo and Artemis as twins. It was one of the most popular cities in terms of religious importance. Even though most of it had been destroyed by Persians, the ruins of Temple of Apollo, which has been the seat of the Greek oracles since ancient times shows itself.

The site is famous for its oracle and striking remains that prove the significance of the city in history and Greek religion.
