Dolmabahce Palace

Dolmabahce Palace is one of the magnificent creations of 19th-century Ottoman architecture, located on the European side of Istanbul, with its front facing the Bosphorus. The building was completed in 1856 and the last sultans lived there, and this became the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. Interior decoration at the palace reflects richness through the use of expensive woods, sparkling chandeliers, and soft furnishes.

Dolmabahce Palace is open to the public today and enables visitors to get a glimpse of the lavish life lived by the Ottoman Empire.
