Fountain of Ahmet III
The Fountain of Ahmet III was built in 1728 by Sultan Ahmed III. It is situated in Sultanahmet Square of Istanbul. The structure’s purpose was to serve the people with water but it is better known for its beautiful baroque style embellishments. This baroque style geometry, the beautiful tiling, detailed calligraphy writing and the dome of the fountain adds to its beauty and makes it one of the prettiest fountains in the region.
