Golden Horn

Golden Horn, or Haliç in Turkish, is a major entrance to the Bosphorus Strait and a naturally formed estuary in Istanbul, always playing the role of being an important river which tends to separate Istanbul's old peninsula from the urban side of the city.

The area around Golden Horn is very famous for having several historical attractions, including a number of buildings from the Ottoman era and the old city walls. It is now a very busy and attractive part of Istanbul, with marvelous views and a lively waterfront scene.
