Goreme Open Air Museum
Goreme Open Air Museum in the district of Cappadocia is on the UNESCO list of the World Heritage and features paintings and rock-cut chapels.One of the important spots in it is Dark Church which is well known for its frescoes that remain intact and rich in color because the amount of natural light let inside is limited.
The other spot is Saint Barbara Church with unique frescoes that portray’s early Christian’s artistry. Tourists are able to witness the work of impressive ancient paintings in the form of rock-carved churches and monasteries. The complex explores the spiritual and cultural history of the region with well-preserved Early Christian art and architectural specimens.
