Hasankeyf
The village of Hasankeyf, located in southeast Turkey, offers views of the ruins of the telling and living rock-cut homes, old mosques, and scenes along the river views. Its history dates back thousands of years, and at the moment, it lies half under water due to the construction of the Ilisu Dam. Some of the monuments carried on another place during the restoration and now is open to visitors. However, back in time it had a great strategic importance for global trade because of its location next to Tigris River.
When someone visits Hasankeyf, they must be ready to view the natural beauty of this place apart from its historical beauty. Because Hasankeyf is also famous for its sunsets which will give you the feeling of living in Mesopotamian times.
