Hierapolis Ancient City

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Hierapolis Ancient City is a fine location with very well-preserved Greco-Roman ruins and hot springs, located in what is now Pamukkale, Turkey. Founded in the second century BC, it became an important place for healing, trade, and culture. It is visited by tourists, especially for holy hot springs, which were believed to be curative.

 Three of the major features of Hierapolis include the imposing theater, the large necropolis, and the Cleopatra Antique Pool. Hence, it continues to be one of the most visited places by tourists and historians, since much can be observed at this ancient site about life in ancient times.
