Kadifekale

Kadifekale is an ancient fortress located in İzmir, Turkey, which was constructed by the Romans first and then enlarged by the Byzantines. It gives wide views and historic views into the past of İzmir. The fortress has very well-preserved walls and superstructure, putting more emphasis on the architectural elements and strategic significance.

At present, it is a good tourist attraction with its ruins and the scenery it provides.
