Laodicea Gymnasium
Laodicea Gymnasium is operated as a complex for training, socializing and educational purposes. It consisted of an open courtyard, an exercising yard, and a bathing as well as an undressing room. The gymnasium was an institution where not only physical exercises were encouraged but many ideas and philosophies were debated. Young men were taught to participate in sports, read literature, study philosophy and even learn about arts. The remaining structures seen today were for gymnastics.
