Nemrut Mountain

One of the most famous archaeological sites is the site of Mount Nemrut, located at the top in southeastern Turkey. At the summit, a series of colossal sculptures and the remains of a huge burial temple lie, constructed in the first century BC by King Antiochus I of Commagene. It comprises huge stone heads of the king and gods, arranged to correlate to celestial events.

One of the most magnificent natural landscapes and historical sites, Mount Nemrut is under the preservation of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
