The Odeon (Concert Hall)
Odeon is designed in a semi-circular form, which is commonly seen in Roman buildings with rows of seats set up for attendees. The seating capacity was modest, hinting that it was meant for small scale events such as musical shows, reciting of poems and making speeches. The building of the Odeon is an evidence which illustrates the presence of Romans in Troy in that particular era, because the city was situated within the Roman Empire. At the moment, the remnants of the Troy's Odeon have been partially restored and its appeal is worth further exploration.
Odeon Concert Hall is one of many remnants showcasing synthesis of Greek and Roman architectural elements and how despite of being ancient, Troy remained a highly populated social center during the later years of the Roman Empire.
