Shrapnel Valley

In World War I, the Shrapnel Valley, which is located on the Gallipoli Peninsula, made the Gallipoli Campaign very difficult to achieve. Shrapnel Valley was an indispensable channel through which supplies were obtained and communication pathways secured by the allied forces. It gets its name from the heavy bombardment of shrapnel upon the troops.

The valley indeed has a dark history and is now one of the memorial places, leaving a message of great sacrifice of those soldiers to the visiting tourists.
