St. John Basilica
Constructed in the sixth century, the Basilica of St. John is an essential, important early Christian church located in Selçuk, Turkey. It was built on the assumed tomb of Saint John the Apostle. St John Basilica had a large central nave, impressive columns, and fragments of beautiful paintings and mosaics. The church's entire interior was adorned with colorful mosaics and marble plates. As a result, the whole church appeared as if it was wrapped in oriental magnificent carpets.
