Suleymaniye Mosque
One of the most beautiful views in Istanbul is Süleymaniye Mosque, located on top of the city's Third Hill. It dates back to 1557, and as an example of the architecture of the great architect Mimar Sinan, makes it an excellent representation of Ottoman architecture. The enormous dome and graceful minarets of the mosque come with intricate tile work, which was a testament to the architectural glory of that time.
The Süleymaniye Mosque has remained one of the important places of worship in Istanbul, circled by a complex including a hospital, library, and theology school.
