Temple of Athena
In the northwest of Turkey lies the Temple of Athena, an old site that is closely related to Greek mythology, symbolism and ancient history. The temple which was honored to the pantheon of Greek Gods, goddess Athena, was a center of piousness in the ancient metropolis of Troy.
This mythic structure and many other nearby structures like the famous troy walls and tombs of ancient residences lay in ruins which can be traced by tourists today. The location is surrounded by lovely features such as gentle valleys and the Aegean Sea adding to the bouncing view which greets visitors.
There is a rich history over the area and the place witnessed innumerable events and the massacres.
