Trojan Horse

In Canakkale, the ancient city of Troy -also known as Hisarlik-, there is a representation of the Trojan Horse. This building exists to underline the famous Trojan War, a legend described in the Iliad written by Homer.

In Greek mythology, the famous wooden horse was a "cunning ruse of the Greeks for getting into the city of Troy." It is said that a hollow horse brought by the Trojans into their city as a gift, whose had hidden Greek troops inside. At nightfall, these soldiers came out of the horse and opened the gates for the Greek army to conquer Troy. The story of the Trojan Horse has persisted in literature and popular culture to this day as a forceful allegory of deceit and dodgery in combat.
