Yazilikaya
Situated in modern-day Turkey, Yazılıkaya is an ancient rock sanctuary, not far from Hattusa, the capital of the Empire of Hittites. Its remarkable reliefs and rock sculptures date back to the late Hittite period, picturing gods and rites. The place might have operated as a religious center where rituals and acts of adoration were offered to the Hittite deities.
Today, Yazılıkaya is considered to be one of the most important archeological locations that yield data about Hittite religion and culture.
