Monks Valley

4. Pasabag (Monks Valley) – The Location of Fairy Chimneys 

Pasabag (Monks Valley) is considered to be one of the best places to visit in Cappadocia. It is distinguished by the strange and unique fairy chimneys. The rock formations are in fact the result of centuries of wind and water erosion. The scenery that opens before your eyes is like something from a fairy tale. Some of the chimneys have hollows which were used  as hermitages by the monks.  

Photography Tip: It is recommended to take your pictures during  the golden hour which is early in the morning or late in the evening to get the best light and few people in the background.

Love Valley is so named for its strange rock formations. It is especially popular with hikers and photographers. The natural sculptures can be seen in the valley. They are quite impressive. Uchisar Castle
