Ari Burnu (First Anzac Landing Place)

Ari Burnu is a historic site on the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey, and it is sometimes known as First ANZAC Landing Place. This area was a main landing zone of troops for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during the Gallipoli Campaign on 25 April 1915. It is famous for its formidable landscape and violent first landing fighting. The soldiers encountered many difficult challenges such as steep cliffs and formidable Ottoman opposition. Despite the adversities, the location became a mark of courage and struggle for both sides of the battle.

Now, it is considered one of the most important events in the history of the Australian and New Zealand military and is officially recognized on 25th of April every year known as ANZAC Day.
