Chunuk Bair (New Zealand Memorial)
The main memorial to New Zealand's involvement in the Great War's Gallipoli Campaign stands at Chunuk Bair, on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey. In August 1915, one of the important battles of the campaign was fought there as New Zealand men valiantly fought to take and hold the high ground.
