Hippodrome Square

Hippodrome Square is located within the Sultanahmet neighborhood in Istanbul and was once the center for Byzantine entertainment and public life. It has hosted a series of games and other events up until the Ottoman Empire. The hippodrome was first built in the third century AD as an arena for chariot races.
