Pasabag : Monks Valley

Monks Valley or "Paşabağ" in other term, is most famous for its excellent fairy chimneys with the mushroom-shaped top that Cappadocia is known for. The fairy chimneys of Paşabağlar were formed due to the volcanic attaches which were eroded for millions of years. They evolve into this tall and conical shape shaped by wind and water.

 The region gained the name “Monks Valley” because of Christian monks living there during the Byzantine period. That's why, the region was significant in early Christian history since Cappadocia sheltered many primitive Christians escaping the persucution of Romans.This special location is so well-liked for exploring the history of Cappadocia and provides breathtaking sceneries.
