Temple of Artemis
Located in Ephesus, Turkey, the Temple of Artemis was undoubtedly an ancient wonder. Having been completed in 550 BC and listed among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, this place had primarily been famous for its magnificent structure and intricately crafted sculptures.
It was an important center of prayer and pilgrimage dedicated to Artemis, the Greek goddess of fertility and hunt. Though it is reduced to a few columns and ruins at present, it still protects its place as an important archaeological and historical location.
